I'm very impressed by the durability of these straps. They're also much wider in size than expected, which is perfect for giving me a peace of mind when my boys play on their swing.Pros:- Top notch durability. When I installed these, I was skeptical. We've never hung a swing on a tree branch before and I was worried about the strength. My boys can be on the rougher side when they swing, and I've also sat on it and swung myself. (Of course, you'll want to ensure the branch can equally support the weight, these straps have shown no strain)- Does not show wear after being in direct Florida sun and heat (we've had it outside about a month and a half now with frequent use)- Doesn't damage the tree! I thought for sure, with the swinging motion, we would have damage to our poor tree (I was even more worried that in time, the straps would cut down into the branch, leaving it vulnerable to breakage). But, nope! I can't spot any damage from friction/motion to where the straps rest. They seem to smoothly slide with the rocking motion.- Fun Colors - though we didn't have much of a preference, I could see this being something good if you were wanting to have the straps appear a bit more decorative or themed.Cons:- No adjustment straps. This worked fine for us, as the swing itself had adjustment capability. But, for those who don't have that option on the swing, this might be a hindrance. You would need to wrap the straps around the branch multiple times to shorten it (in which case, I'm not sure if it could cause damage to the tree at that point).Well made straps. We are using them for an unconventional purpose. Needed a way to secure our two dogs on the floor of our RV while travelling and still allow them some flexibilty to get up and move around during those long stretches. Ran it around the rear seat post of the driver and pax seat, and then slipped one D ring through the other. They both have quality safety harnesses that we hook to the straps. This gives them about a 2.5 foot radius to move around in and keeps them well out of my way while I'm driving. They're happier and so are we!I live on Maui, and love to sit under a tree and read my books as I watch for whales, and the beauty that surrounds me. I have a bad back, so sitting in a beach chair can get to me after awhile. These straps are perfect for my Hammock Chair. The straps are soft and tree friendly. they are very strong, and very simple to use, and bright colored so I can't forget them when I leave. I use one for outside when I want to hang from a tree, and I use the other one in my home for when I want to relax in my hammock chair at home.Squeaky noise due to strap friction against D ring is a bit irritating, but I solved this by running the strap through the strap loop and bypassing the D ring. This also improved the friction around the beam. As for strength, it seems to be holding up very well. If it ever fails, I will edit this review.After all of the glowing reviews for these straps I was disappointed to find out that after just one day the one in use was already showing a lot of wear and tarting to fray. We used it to hang our web swing from a tree and at that point only my 50lb son had used it. We took the swing down to move it further down the tree branch and noticed at that point how the material was already starting to fray. We used the other strap as a replacement, double looped it to keep it absolutely still when the swing was in motion and added chains to make up for the length. It seems to be doing better that way which is why I am giving the product three stars.very sturdy. easy to use. After 2 weeks I did notice wear on our tree limb. I wish they were much much longer though. Not sure how they envision the attachment. but the swing I bought to go on it did not have very long straps either. A rope would easily solve the problem, but not sure why I would get these and a swing and a rope. that's why I bought the tree straps.I totally didn't realize that one ring is smaller than the other when sliding through. Its not complicated, but easy to miss. I hung a swing from a tree in my backyard. Its about 15ft - 20ft up so I needed to get some chain to extend it, but the whole thing is working out awesome and the baby loves it.Love the Grrillla straps! Super sturdy and easy to use. I will be purchasing an additional set. Currently I have two tree swongs, one strap per swing (My grandchildren are still fairly tiny), but as they grow, it will be more user-friendly with a strap per side. If you're putting a swing on a tree, these are essential! No risk of rubbing and wearing out the swing rope, makes it really easy to adjust the length of one side if your limb isn't perfectly straight.
