This swing is excellent and durable. Only problem is the dye rubs off on clothing and is staining the kids clothing. My 7 year old has had this for over 2 years and uses it daily. She does all kinds of acrobatic swinging along with more traditional sensory swing type relaxation. It is SUCH a winner! She's around 50lbs so we are not pushing the limits of the fabric but I'm incredibly happy with how long it's held up to her multiple hour a day use!My son is 11years, 5'8" 135lbs, he has ADHD, aspergers, and anxiety. He LOVES this and is always in it. It is currently in his room and he is in it so so much, that I am going to have to buy a 2nd one for the front porch for myself and the other family members. The reason why the 4 stars is, because, it's difficult for my child to get in and out by himself, heck it's difficult for myself (5'9"&120lbs) to get kinda in, but definitely to get out is, a huge chore. Also the swing has to be placed very high up in order to prevent scrapping our bums on the floor while in this relaxing cacoon. So we have to use a step stool to get in and out and it has already caused a couple of injuries with my autistic son trying to do it by himself. So u need two people, so they can help each other in and out.I definitely recommend this for children or adults with autism, adhd, anxiety and depression. However,I think it is ment for bodies under 120lbs.So if this company will make an adult swing, I would buy that instead if the body to use it is over 120lbs.Great quality, great fun, extremely relaxing and help take stress and worry away. (for kids, teens, and tiny adults)My son does occupational therapy and has a swing at his appointments. We purchased this one for home. He is very active and has sensory issues and we thought the wrapping effect and the need for gross motor skills with this swing would be perfect for him. HE LOVES IT! Sometimes we have a hard time getting him out of it to go to bed. It is very stretchy a single layer gives him enough stretch to sit with his feet on the floor. If we double the fabric, it pulls him up high enough so we can swing him. It took him about 2-3 tries to figure out how to get in it by himself. We've found options for each of his moods to fold the fabric. Sometimes he doesn't want to be wrapped in it so we let his legs hang out on each side like a horse. Sometimes he likes to be completely enveloped in it. The installation was a little difficult because we couldn't find the ceiling joists to attach it to. We have 8 foot ceilings and once we got it attached to the ceiling, he got in it. We did have to adjust the rope to pull it up off the floor a little but he figured it out pretty quick. My husband and I are too big for the swing but have longed for a swing we can use. This one is great for gross motor and muscle sensations if your kid is as active as mine. It's also goo for calming when their winding down for bed. What does my kid do over the winter months? Literally climbs the walls. This swing gives him a way to move his body safely in a smaller area. He is in it constantly doing various contortions, twists, swinging, hanging upside down or just curling up in it like a cocoon. My kid needs all that proprioceptive input and goes stir crazy without a physical outlet. This swing is a way to say enthusiastically YES. YES YOU MAY DO THAT. When my husband chose this swing, I wondered what would be different than, say, a sheet or a strap like you normally see for yoga and such. I thought a rope would be good so he could climb, but my husband saw what this swing could do before I could and he bought it. After seeing my son using it every which way, I consider this to be well worth the cost. The elastic nature of the fabric is perfect for safely cocooning my kid, gives him something to push against, and slows him down when he flips upside down. In spite of it's incredible flexibility, the fabric is also very strong and sturdy. I have no worries that he will wear it out. We are so happy he has this and he is happy to be free to move how he wants whenever he wants. We bought this for our 7 year old who responds well to sensory products. When the rest of the family is sitting quietly around the living room she is squirming around or climbing me (her father) and wanting some direct attention. The swing gives her an opportunity to address those times when I am not available to play or would prefer her to find another way to soothe herself. We installed the swing in our living room in a location that would otherwise be for a chair. Since we bought the 165 lb capacity option, the swing can accommodate two 7 year olds which was challenging at first because there is so much fabric. Once she tried out different ways of climbing in, pulling herself up and stretching out the fabric it was great. Now, she jumps on, goes in and either plays on it like a swing or lays in it to read a book. One of the best moments is when we are sitting in the living room and she is chatting but fully climbing and swinging at the same time. It is quite nice to see such satisfaction and passivation of frenetic energy in an elegant way. I recommend this product highly as an indoor activity place for kids with or without sensory issues.the issue i have with this for my son was that either it touched the ground or was so high it was hard to get into it stretches' so muchBought this for my 14 yr old ASD son. I was very worried about securing it in the ceiling so I bought one of those egg chair stands. It worked perfectly! And we can move it easily if need be. We originally had it secured with rope but the rope broke. Probably because he kept spinning it like you see in the picture. So I looped the hammock into a very large carabiner and it's hung by a strong metal hook. The hammock is shaped like a cylinder or tube and is extremely stretchy which you can see in the picture - we don't even need rope - but it feels very secure. My son is in it every night. I'm so impressed!
